The California Police Chiefs Association has thrown its support behind Republican candidate Kevin McCarthy for Congress. The California Police Chiefs Association was established in 1966 and represents municipal law enforcement agencies in California.
“Kevin McCarthy has a strong record of being tough on crime and has been a champion on issues that promote public safety in our local communities,” said Steve Krull, President of the California Police Chiefs Association and the Chief of Police for the City of Livermore.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of this organization that works tirelessly to represent the needs of those who work in law enforcement who put their lives on the line to protect all of us,” said McCarthy.
The 22nd Congressional District consists of most of Kern and San Luis Obispo Counties, and northeastern Los Angeles County. The district includes the cities of Bakersfield, Taft, Lake Isabella, Ridgecrest, Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, and Lancaster.
